Game Purpose

Craps is a dice game where Players bet on the outcome of the roll of two six-faces dice.

At each round, every player around the game table throws the dice one after the other clockwise.

To be invited to throw the dice, you have to place a bet.

Game Progress

At the beginning of a round, when the dice are in the center of the table, players can bet on « Pass » or « Don’t Pass ».

The first player can then select his dice and throw then against the border of the table in front of him.

First stage: the « Come Out Roll », there are 3 possible results:

• 2, 3 or 12: This is a Craps and the roller « Don’t Pass ».
• 7 or 11: the roller « Pass » and can repeat the first stage and throw the dice again.
• 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10: A point is established, the Dealer will mark it and the player can then roll again the dice again for the second stage.

Seconde stage :

• The same number, which made the player proceed to the second stage, appears once again. He « Pass » and can roll again the dice.
• 7: The player « Don’t Pass » and the dice are given to the next roller.
• Other: The Player rolls again until he gets the Point or a 7.

Classic wagers

At the beginning of a new round, you can choose the type of bet you want to place. There are 2 types of wager for the first throw:

• The Pass-Line wager where you bet that the roller will Pass the stage.
• The Don’t-Pass-Line wager if you think that the roller will not pass the stage.

If a Point has been established, you can place 2 additional wagers for the next throw. They will come in addition to the initial bet.

Come bet:

• Win with 7 or 11 and lose with 2, 3 or 12.
• Other: neither loss or win, until the next throw of dice.

Don’t – Come bet :

• Win with 2, 3 or 12 and loose with 7 or 11.
• Other: neither loss or win, until the next throw of dice.

Other Bets that can be placed at any time:

Field bet:

This is an easy single roll bet, you win if the rolled number is 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12, and lose if is it a 5, 6, 7 or 8.

Single-roll bets :

• Bets that can be resolved in just one roll of the dice, usually located in the center of the layout.

Craps bet :

• Bet on 2, 3 or 12.

Placed bets :

• Bet on a number and win if it is rolled before the 7.

Buy bet :

• The Buy bet is the same than the Placed bet, but the casino pays you at the real odd and takes a 5% commission.

Hard way bet :

• Bet on a number formed by a pair.

Various Advices about Craps

The house edge on the Pass-Line wager is only 1,41% and 1,36% on the Don’t-Pass-Line, those are the two most advantageous bets.

Don’t put your chips on the layout if they are not wagered, dedicated chip rack are available on the table borders.

To place your bet in the box numbers (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10), above the « Come » area », you will have to put your bet in the « Come » area and ask the Dealer to put it on the number you wish.
