Commonly called the 'Arcachon of the North' or 'The Pearl of The Opale Coast', The Touquet-Paris-Plage is a city of tourism and history, and France’s most awarded sea resort. With an oceanic climate and mild temperatures, it is one of the cities with more hotels on the Channel coast. The coast alternates between sand dunes and fine sand, but also green fields and long beaches.

The City flaunts has its own airport: the 'Aeroport de Touquet-Côte d’Opale' open to the public sky traffic. Back in the days in 1950 it used to be the third most busy airport in France.

For the 100 years old anniversary of the Touquet Paris Plage in 2012, the council decided to redefine the city’s 1930’s prestige character and started a hundred projects to make it the 'resort of elegance'.
